Dr.Silvia Grossi-Stone D.V.M.
Dr. Silvia Grossi-Stone was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina where she initially lived until the age of 3. Her family moved to California in 1963 where they lived for 10 years, eventually returning to Argentina. While back in her country she attended veterinary school graduating with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1984 from the University of Buenos Aires, College of Veterinary Sciences. She moved to Colorado in 1984, where she completed a one year internship in a small animal and equine general practice, required as part of the foreign veterinary graduate licensing process. She obtained her US National Veterinary Accreditation in 1986 in the state of CA and WAShe an her husband moved to Seattle, Washington where she worked for 12 years. With the demands of her growing family of 3 children Dr Silvia branched out on her own to start a much needed service in the Seattle a house call practice Mukilteo Mobile Veterinary Services, which she owned until moving to Soutern california in 2002. She worked at a local vet hospital for 4 years but decided the mobile practice was a much better fit and a huge need in the area. Her love of animals and her vocation towards medicine led her to becoming a Veterinarian. She completed her internship in Colorado and is licensed in both California and Washington. Dr Grossi-Stone worked in Seattle for 16 years prior to moving to California in 2002. Her compassion and unique understanding of animals have made her a very successful doctor. Her special interests are dermatology, endocrinology, reproduction, soft tissue surgery and animal rehabilitation. She is fluent in spanish and her hobbies include cooking, gardening, reading, skiing, horse back riding, boating and the beach. She lives in Orange County with her husband, three of their adult kids, two Havana-poo dogs named Roxy and Malibu, miniature Dachshund mix Lila-ween, and her Arabian mare Sophie.
Dr. Cory StrykerD.V.M.Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Stryker completed her undergraduate degree at San Diego State University, then attended Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine in Indiana where she obtained her veterinary degree. She then completed a multi-specialty internship with a special focus in emergency medicine at the Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona. Dr. Stryker moved to Orange county in 2006 where she has worked as an emergency doctor ever since. Prior to joining Simply Housecalls, she worked at a multi-specialty 24-hour hospital where she managed a heavy emergency caseload and enjoyed helping to train interns that rotate through the hospital each year. She has special interests in toxicology, surgical emergencies, and pain management but the staff will tell you she is happiest bonding with her patients and she is a stickler for providing the best patient care. She lives in Mission Viejo with her husband and 5 dogs and enjoys spending time with them, mountain biking, hiking, and cooking for friends and family. Dr. Stryker is thrilled to start this new chapter of her life as a mobile veterinarian where she can provide general and emergency care on a one-on-one basis with her patients and their families.
Lauren StoneVeterinary Assistant/ Social Media Coordinator
Lauren is Dr. Silvia's daughter, she works for our practice managing our online presence. Lauren has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing, from CSUSM. She has an interest in business, psychology and interior design/fashion. Lauren loves all animals especially dogs and horses! Lauren currently also works as a sales associate at Nordstrom. She is excited to be part of our team helping with patients and managing our social media!
Marina PremoliVeterinary Assistant
Ever since Marina can remember animals have been her passion. She has worked with and cared for a wide variety of animals throughout her life and career as a veterinary assistant. From peacocks, potbelly pigs, and rabbits to horses, cats and dogs, she loves them all. She recently moved back to Orange County where she grew up, after spending several years on the central coast. While attending school in Monterey California, Marina had the opportunity to complete clinal hours at the SPCA Wildlife Center, which provided her the amazing experience of working with birds of prey, and many other magnificent wild creatures. Marina also has a deep love and appreciation for the outdoors. She enjoys backpacking, camping, reading and gardening. On the weekends she usually hits the trails with her pups or her horse. Marina's little critter family includes her three dogs, horse, cat and African Senegal parrot. She hopes her love for animals and nature will cultivate a more compassionate world for all creatures, where all animals are treated with compassion and respect.
Amanda BernsteinRegistered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Amanda Bernstein was born and raised in Orange County and has no plans of ever leaving this amazing area. She has had a career as a veterinary technician for over 5 years. Last year she passed her national board exam to obtain her license as a Registered Veterinary Technician. Amanda has worked in many different practices ranging from general practice, traveling surgery, emergency and specialty medicine. Amanda also works in ophthalmology and her next goal is to become specialized in that field. Animals have always been a big part her life as she grew up with dogs, hamsters, and cats. After completing an associate’s degree in sociology, she realized a career in veterinary medicine played more into her passion and love for animals. She currently has one dog who is a 9-year-old pit bull named Nova. Amanda would describe Nova as the light of her life and truly her inspiration to join the veterinary medicine community. She has one brother who lives in New York City and her mom who lives in New Hampshire. Amanda plans on spending the rest of her working life with animals and couldn’t imagine life any other way.
Cindy WirthOffice Administration
Cindy is a California State University, Fullerton graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. She studied a year abroad in Tuebingen, Germany, which earned her a minor in German.She is also a mother of two teenagers living in Orange County, not far from where she was born and raised. Animals have always been a part of Cindy’s life. Her love for animals ranged from horses, a hamster, a cockatiel, and extended to fostering dogs through a few local pet rescues. Currently, she has one former foster dog, Tuscany, and four Minirex rabbits. She enjoys being part of a veterinary practice that desires to treat each pet with individual care and dignity. On her off days, she enjoys bike riding, traveling, going for walks, horseback riding and watching sunsets at the beach.
